In addition to soundproofing, the desk screens work well as dividers for workstations, improving employee comfort. The Absorbent desk screen has a clean design and consists of a wooden frame filled with 30 mm A-classified material (known as A30) made of stone wool, which is a fire-resistant and environmentally friendly material. The desk screen is covered with foam-laminated fabric for further improved sound absorption. The fabric is made of polyester and is anti-dirt resistant in gray color. The Absorbent desk screen is mounted directly on the tabletop with included brackets. With a sit-stand base, the desk screen moves up and down with the adjustment of the table's height, providing good shielding even when working in a standing position. The screens can be attached to one, two, or three sides of the table, depending on how much you want to isolate the workstation from the rest of the environment. A new Norwegian study shows that employees in open office landscapes have a 12 percent higher risk of sick leave than those with private offices.
